Precision Nutrient Management.
Smarter Farming Starts Here.
What is Precision Nutrient Management?
Precision Nutrient Management is all about understanding your soil at a deeper level. We measure key nutrient levels phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and pH and combine that with GPS data to create detailed maps of your fields. These maps show exactly where you need more nutrients and where you don’t, so you can apply fertiliser and lime precisely where they’re needed.
Reliable, Local Testing
Every soil sample is tested in the CFA Lab in Ashburton, ensuring independent, accurate analysis you can rely on.
How It Works.
We start by collecting GPS soil samples across your paddocks, with at least one sample per hectare and additional points where soil type or yield maps suggest variation. Each location includes 16 sub-samples for accuracy. These samples are then analysed in our CFA Ashburton laboratory, measuring phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and pH levels.
The results are transformed into clear, easy-to-read maps that show nutrient levels across your fields. With these maps, you’ll know exactly where to apply more fertiliser or lime and where you can cut back. This information can be used for up to four seasons, giving you confidence in every nutrient decision.
